What I build for Jeddah businesses

New stores, rebuilds and migrations on Shopify: catalog structure, theme setup, product templates, collections, payment and shipping configuration, and the search foundations a store needs after launch. Jeddah has traded for centuries - from the old merchant houses of Al-Balad to today's Red Sea retail and Jeddah Season crowds - and much of that trade is now moving online. A store that respects how Jeddah buys: phones first, Arabic first, and cash on delivery still part of the picture.

Jeddah specifics to plan before a build

• Arabic-first or bilingual: settle this before choosing a theme. Right-to-left affects menus, sliders, cart drawers and checkout, and the wrong theme makes retrofitting expensive.
• Payments: mada is the default card expectation, with Apple Pay and STC Pay close behind. Shopify Payments is not available in Saudi Arabia at the time of writing, so stores use gateways such as Tap, PayTabs or HyperPay - approval needs your commercial registration, so start it early.
• Instalments: Tabby and Tamara are expected in fashion, beauty, electronics and gifting. Their approval is separate from your gateway's.
• Delivery: zones and promised timeframes should match what SMSA, Aramex or Saudi Post actually deliver across Jeddah's districts and onward to Makkah, Madinah and the rest of the Kingdom, with cash-on-delivery limits set deliberately.
• Tax: 15% VAT with your ZATCA-registered number, shown correctly on prices and invoices.

How a remote build runs

I work from Kerala, India - two and a half hours ahead of Jeddah - over WhatsApp, email and scheduled calls. Every build starts from a written scope: your products, brand assets, payment documents and launch window. You review staged progress on a private preview link, and nothing goes live until payments, delivery and the mobile experience pass their checks. Your business keeps ownership of the Shopify account, domain and billing throughout.
